Dry Steam Cleaning VS Traditional Cleaning: What are the Advantages?

Date:

When it comes to professional cleaning and sanitization, dry steam cleaning offers many advantages over the various different traditional methods of cleaning.

When it comes to professional cleaning, there are a wide variety of options to choose from. Some use the traditional sweeping techniques, while some others rely on the use of tools such as vacuum cleaners or steam cleaners. While vacuum cleaners use air pressures and suction, steam cleaners use a technique called dry steam cleaning.

In technical terms, dry steam is known as saturated steam – which is a state when the fluid remains stable in between its liquid and gas form. However, it’s the saturated steam is fully gas and has no micro water droplets present is considered as dry steam. It can be created in a boiler by applying a combination of high temperature between 140C to 180C and pressure between 6-10 Bar on water. Thanks to the dramatic change in temperature and extreme heat, dry steam can easily disinfect, sanitize and degrease an area when sprayed on to the environment; making dry steam cleaning a highly effective and useful solution to professional and industrial cleaning.

Advantages of Dry Steam Cleaning

Dry steam cleaning, with its heat, micro water droplets, and absorbing pressures offers powerful cleaning capabilities perfect to clean an elaborate surface such as in schools and hospitals; as well as hazardous industrial areas. Among their many advantages, the ones that stand out the most are:

Effective Disinfectant: The high temperatures that turn water into steams also help to break molecular bonds between dirt or grease and the surface. Consequently, it exposes and destroys the harmful molecules, microorganisms, and bacteria present in a particular environment.

Quick and Efficient: The micro water droplets present in the saturated steams help to lift up dirt from the surfaces while also preventing them from getting disbursed into the air. The hot steam also gets dried up as soon as it hit the surfaces, and thus, speeds up the sanitization process.

Eco-friendly Solution: While you can choose to use any normal detergent, steam cleaning doesn’t require the use of any cleaning liquids or disinfectants. Instead, it uses the plain, old water available in any given environment. Therefore, it is a safer process both for the cleaning personnel and the environment, as no harmful chemical gets sprayed onto the air or gets to go into the sewage channels.

How It Compares with Traditional Cleaning Methods

To put it simply, dry steam cleaning is a much superior technique to other cleaning methods for its ease of use, heightened effectiveness, and lesser water consumption.

In any normal cleaning method, the process is quite extensive. It begins with removing physical filth; then involves three phases of prewashing, cleaning, and rinsing; while also needing disinfectants after drying. In comparison, steam cleaning only requires physical filth removal and the spraying of steams while it dries itself quickly. Normal cleaning also requires a lot more water than the later.
