Does Weight Loss Hypnosis Really Work

Date:

People of all ages and sizes have a variety of different reasons as to why they want to lose weight. Some have developed health conditions as a result of being overweight; others want to look smoking hot in their new swimwear ready to hit the beach in the scorching heat of summer. Whatever the reason, it can be a difficult and trying time for many as years of bad eating habits and a lack of motivation can hinder us all.

There are many ways to achieve this result with the two most commonly known methods of either dieting or exercise. While it’s better to combine these methods, some people struggle to adapt to either of these on their own and need extra help. There are also various pills and supplements you can take that claim to help burn fat or boost your metabolism, giving you the extra push and drive you to need in order to lose weight and hit your goals.

However, many people fail to stick to calorie-restrictive diets or eating healthy food, and often find their temptation for junk food, along with bad eating habits, get the better of them. This can be a result of unwanted, long-term behavioral traits that you either can’t kick, or you may not even be aware of.

The same can be said for a strict exercise routine. You either don’t have the time or find the thought of having to train alongside ripped bodybuilders at a gym 5 days a week extremely daunting. Although these are the two most popular forms of weight loss, to which thousands of people worldwide swear by, they often fail to address one of the most crucial aspects of a successful weight loss program.

Weight loss programs and diet plans generally only tend to focus on how to physically lose weight by training you to simply monitor your food intake and avoid things such as fast food, processed meats, and high-fat content products. They also tell you to spend at least 5 days a week in a gym, which is obviously a great way to keep in shape and shed some extra pounds.

However, what they don’t tell you is that you may be struggling to lose weight due to your mental attitude, or, bad experiences in the past may be hindering your progress due to how your brain has been hardwired to repeat negative behaviors. You may have been taught that certain foods are actually good for you when they’re not. It could even be a simple case of not being able to break certain bad habits that lead to overeating, or eating the wrong foods in the first place.

We are constantly being bombarded with advertising, models on glossy magazines, and pictures of total strangers spread across social media platforms, who all seem to live perfectly healthy lives with the perfect body that they seem to have developed effortlessly. You may also be trying to tackle over the top daily stress levels as a result of your work or family life.

These are all aspects of weight loss that are heavily neglected, yet are absolutely key to understanding why you’ve gained weight in the first place.  The barrage of social media models can also be quite mentally damaging when they make it look so easy. The truth is, they also find it difficult at first and may have also adopted various methods that draw on the human psyche to achieve their goals.

One relatively new method to the weight loss and the dieting industry is Hypnotherapy.

How Does Weight Loss Hypnotherapy Work?

This method is said to directly target parts of your brain that are actually responsible for certain behaviors and bad habits. It has been used for many years to help people combat things such as obsessive-compulsive disorders and childhood fears.

For example, you can build muscle on Keto as you can lose weight too.

What Are Some of the Basic Weight Loss Hypnosis Techniques?

This will differ from person to person as everyone has different reasons as to why they cannot control what they eat.

These are some example suggestions that a hypnotherapist may try to embed within your subconscious for your mind to later recall when you come across the urge to consume junk food, or you don’t have the motivation to hit the gym.

Depending on what you’re capable of doing, these suggestions will be customized to be compatible with your lifestyle, so, it may not even involve a gym!

How Fast Can I Lose Weight Through Hypnosis?

This is very difficult to say due to these main reasons:

Firstly, no matter what method you adopt in order to lose weight you must remember that your body is different from every other person on the planet, and as such, your body will react differently in relation to the method you chose to reach your goals.

It should go without saying that Hypnotherapy alone is not going to be a miracle cure for your weight issues. While it could potentially offer a great mental boost, combining this method with other plans and programs will be key to speeding up your progress.

Because this is a relatively new method of weight loss, there have been very few case studies to analyze. Case studies are the best way to determine if something actually delivers results so there isn’t a great deal of data to go on.

While there have been reports on various social media channels that it has worked for certain individuals, it’s important to note that this also involves a variety of complex individual situations that may have also aided or even hindered the results people experienced.

It’s also down to you, the more effort you put into other aspects of changing your general day to day view of how you consume food and what you eat, the more likely this will have a positive, beneficial effect in complimenting your hypnotherapy.

Conclusion – Is Weight Loss Hypnotherapy Effective?

There is no doubt; Hypnotherapy is a tried and tested method in helping people to alter aspects of their psychological, emotional, and physical disorders, personality, and certain behavioral traits. It has been shown to result in very positive changes for the individuals that have undergone this mostly mysterious process.

Although we have little evidence to support the theory that this method alone will help you lose weight, looking at the evidence for this method altering other aspects of human behavior being successful, it stands to reason that it could be a very powerful tool in helping you achieve your goals, changing your eating habits, and helping you project a much healthier imagine of your overall self. A positive attitude is, after all, the key to succeeding in any aspect of life.

As we’ve mentioned, this is not a one-time magic solution to your problems, you can’t just have one session with a hypnotherapist, lie down on the couch and walk out an hour later with the perfect beach body. You need to truly understand why you’ve gotten to where you are in the first place as chances are your bad eating habits and lack of motivation are being fueled by past events and current personal issues, some of which you might not even be aware of.

It’s also extremely important to remember that in order to really achieve results that last a lifetime, you will most likely have to combine hypnotherapy with several other dieting and nutrition programs as well as exercise if you really want to lose weight. There is no one quick-fix solution and any professional trainer will tell you that.

You have to look at many different aspects of your diet and lifestyle if you truly want to better yourself. However, all you need to do is start making some small changes alongside a technique such as hypnotherapy, and you will for sure see results, but it can take time so be prepared.

Remember to always consult your local doctor before adopting any new weight-loss diets, techniques, and methods, including hypnotherapy.
