Depending on your situation, you can combine your undergraduate program with dentistry training, shortening the time frame to six years instead of eight years.

_Major:_ Depending on the major you pursue, you can shorten your timeframe. Suppose you are majoring in biology or something related to human physiology, in that case, you might need to take fewer courses for your dental program. If you have questions about your current major, whether it will help you with a dental program and speak with a counselor.

_Specializing:_ If you want to specialize, you can expect to add additional time to become a dentist. If you can’t wait to become a dentist, you can skip on specializing. However, don’t rush things simply because you are eager. If you want to specialize, please take your time and participate in the training necessary for specializing in something you like.

_GPA: _You will need a high GPA if you want to get into a dental school, and you will need recommendations from professors.
