5 Lesser-Known Benefits of Vaping and the Risks Associated to It

Date:

When it comes to vape, there are a lot of mixed opinions about it out there. Vaporizers are still a recent innovation that has taken the tobacco industry by storm. While you may not have heard good things about it, there are a lot of lesser-known benefits of vaping over smoking, which you need to know about. If you are wondering what they are, check out this article; you may be surprised!

Vaping is Less Harmful than Smoking

It’s pretty clear that nothing but good old air is good for your lungs. However, it is also believed that vaping is not as harmful as smoking. It is true because vaping doesn’t include all the contaminants in tobacco smoke. However, as that article we linked to mentions, it would be wrong to say that vaping is completely safe. Regular cigarettes comprise over 7,000 chemicals, most of which are toxic. E-cigarettes heat flavorings, nicotine, and other chemicals to produce a water vapor that people inhale. And people who use an e-cigarette instead of traditional cigarettes are exposed to lesser toxic chemicals. Additionally, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends not to use THC-containing e-cigarette or vaping products to prevent diseases. But, the risks are still very high as vaping is not safe at all.

Vaping is Odorless

Vaping doesn’t have the same odor as a traditional cigarette. Yes, there is some smell, but that isn’t anything like smoking. The smell of tobacco and its odor is so overpowering that it even clings to clothing. In fact, when you are around smokers, it makes you feel like you have a pack full of cigarettes on you, even if you are not a smoker. On the other hand, vaping is odorless, which is the reason why people are turning to e-cigarettes, e-liquids, and other vaping products more than ever.

Control Over Nicotine Intake

If you are wondering how then, it is essential to know that e-liquids are available in various strengths. For instance, you can purchase nicotine-free e-juice. It means you have full control over how much nicotine you are taking if you decide to vape. Whereas, when it comes to smoking cigarettes, you cannot regulate your nicotine dosage. But using nicotine in very little or high amounts increases the risk of addiction. So, whether you are vaping or smoking, you will still get addicted to nicotine.

Helps the Environment

Several studies suggest that cigarette butts are the most commonly littered item worldwide, and the filters in them have a number of harmful chemicals that are not only damaging to waterways but also local ecosystems. In addition to this, people who smoke produce greenhouse gases that are equal to half of the world’s vehicles in a year. So, keeping in view what we currently know about e-cigarette vaping seems far better for the environment than smoking. Based on the current facts, we cannot really tell how good it is for the environment. To find out the answers, we need to conduct more long-term studies.

Cost-Effective

Smokers are well aware of the fact that cigarettes are not cheap at all. The price of cigarettes can be very high, especially in the UK. These prices are increasing every year because of the added tax. One of the main reasons why smokers are turning to vaping is that there are many vaping products out there that are budget-friendly. Since it is budget-friendly, a large number of people, especially youngsters have started to use a vape, which is not an encouraging sign. If we can get lawmakers to properly regulate the e-cigarette market so that underage people don’t vape, this would be a massive benefit to public safety all over the world.
